Madison Waxed Cotton Jacket

The barn/waxed jacket concept will definitely be all the rage for Fall season, but the fit and weird white scratched markings on this piece were enough for me to return. Design and material definitely need to be brought back to the drawing board...

Love this jacket, I got the red. It’s stunning in person and seems to be high quality. Only complaint is it runs very very large, I know it’s meant to be oversized but the small looked like a large on me

I love this jacket. The material is a fun waxed cotton that looks distressed. It is oversized, I’m generally a size 8/10 and the medium is really big on me. That said, I think it is part of the look and I try to wear this everywhere.

Love this jacket. The quality is superb and I really like the distressed red finish. However, the fit is off for me. I tried in S and M. The Medium is big enough for two people. The Small was a better fit, but still quite large around the torso, and the sleeves were much too short for me. I also thought the sleeves were a bit short in the Medium. I’d like to keep one — but regretfully am returning both sizes. If you have a long wingspan, this jacket might not work for you. Definitely size down!

If I could afford this jacket in every color, I would buy the black and red as well but I've selected Navy and am very pleased. This jacket will last a lifetime. For anyone living in multi-season locations, this jacket is the perfect layering item. The waxed cotton will help repel a bit of wet weather and it is oversized to accommodate layer a thin insulation layer or a thick sweater. Surprisingly it isn't stiff like a lot of other waxed jackets. Love all the pockets and the black corduroy on the sleeves and collar are a nice, soft touch around your face and hands. Very thoughtful design with high-quality closures. It is also lined! The Navy is more like a midnight navy. I've read some comments about the marks on the jacket but I don't mind them. Seems natural for waxed cotton and gives it character. I did order my regular size (S) and it is big on me (sleeves and width) but I don't mind the oversize. If you want a less loose look, size down. My guess is there will still be room to layer. It's so well-made.

Really well made with great details (snaps and zipper, brass hardware, armpit vents, wide stride walking vent, inner and outer pockets). I'm usually a S or XS in N American sizing and the XS is oversized on me but I'd be happy with either the XS or S (I like how the oversized cut hangs off the back). Great for wearing multiple chunky layers in all kinds of weather.
