Absolutely Amazing
I finally decided to give in to the “mom jean” and buy these. Some reviews said to size down and others said true to size, so I went back and forth on what size to buy. I’m usually in between a 6 and an 8 and I’m 5’ 8” 170lbs, athletic build. I ended up going with a 29 (size 8) because these don’t have any stretch. I’m so glad I did! These are so extremely flattering in all areas! I’m buying them in multiple colors. I will say though, there is ZERO stretch, so be aware of that when sizing.

Worst jeans I ever bought
I have never returned anything that I have worn, but these are going back tomorrow. They were perfect when I put them on. Fit well and looked good. Two hours later they looked like old man jeans. Baggy to the point of falling off. Washing instructions say to wash after every 10 wearings and hang to dry. What a joke. I wear size 10 and 30 usually fits. I should have squeezed myself into a 27 and then they might have fit 2 hours later.

Perfection in Denim.
I have been on the hunt for the perfect pair of "mom" jeans - I'm not really one for ripped holes in the knees or anything. I've tried it and it's not my thing. This pair of Madewell jeans are the bomb. High waist, no stretch really, and they keep everything in place and where they need to be. It's like they did something magical to the front and the pockets just do exactly what they need to.
I purchased a 27 originally and had to exchange for a 26. For reference, I'm 5' 6" and 138; I normally wear a 27 but they were too big in the waist by a half inch or so. I would definitely size down.

cute! but didn’t fit right!
LOVE Madewell jeans I’m such a fan! I wanted to try a different style and color. I’m usually a skinny dark jean kinda gal. I love the color but they were a smidge too long, which was a bummer especially since the detail is in the ankle and I didn’t want to adjust that. I’m 5’6” so I don’t usually find things to be too long but in this case I did. Also if you’re not use to a proper high waist jean with little to no stretch I’d suggest sizing up! I’m sure this fit is great for a different body type but if you’ve got some curves and not a tiny waist might not be the best go to jean!

perfect crossover mom jean!
I’ve searched for months for high waisted jeans that weren’t too “mom-ish” or too “skinny” these are the perfect compromise! Love them!

Had to cut them shorter!
I’m 5’8, around 180 lbs and usually wear between size 8-12 in jeans. I bought these in a 31 and they fit great! I have wide hips and a narrow waist, so there is some gap around the band, but not bad. The one thing I’ll note is they are an awkward length! They looked like regular jeans that were too short… I actually CUT about an inch off, since they’re already cutoffs and they sit much nicer.
