The Essex Ankle Boot (Women)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Beautiful quality. I’m a 6.5-7 and ordered 6.5 because 7 was out of stock. I usually wear 7 for sandals and to account for foot swelling after standing. My feet are slightly wide. The 6.5 fits well.Slightly tight on the top of my wider foot, but I’m sure the leather will stretch. I’ve tested them at home, but haven’t worn them out yet. So far comfy. I haven’t worn a heel in years, but this heel is low enough to be comfy. For the sale price and the quality, the boots are worth it. I’ll style with skirts and jeans. Hoping they will match many outfits and will throw a hint of pattern in monochromatic outfits.

I don't think I've ever written a review before on a product, but I wanted to warn others of these boots. I have purchased many Madewell products over the years and turn to their quality for the bulk of my wardrobe. Sadly these boots, although cute, are very poor quality. I wore them for roughly an hour to a baby shower and they look as though I've had them for years. Leather and quality are not durable. I wore them in a carpeted room so I would hate to see what they looked like while outdoor. I would avoid these boots.
