The Curvy Perfect Vintage Jeans

Or maybe not for shorter gals? I am 5’4 and always wear a size 28 in Madewell denim. My dress size is 8 or medium and I am a true hourglass shape. These will be returned. Pros: great stretch, a nice worn black color. Cons: This is probably the most unflattering pair of denim I’ve tried, it was honestly comical. They have a wide-ish leg cut, but straight and hit at the ankle. They truly made my legs look like two redwood tree stumps.

I normally wear a size 29 in madewell denim so based on the previous review I ordered one size down (28) and the jeans fit perfectly everywhere but the waist was so tight! I wish I didn’t read the review and had just ordered my normal size in these.

So disappointed that these jeans ran like 2 sizes larger than I expected. Now they are sold out in my size- and they were such a good deal!!

This was my first Madewell denim purchase, so I was looking to save some money by ordering sale jeans. I did and followed the size chart to get a pair. They are so big on me! I won’t ever be able to wear them and am kind of stuck with them (my fault for buying sale). So if it’s your first denim purchase, do not do Final Sale. It’s worth the extra money to not have pants you can’t wear haunting your closet.

I love these jeans! My first pair at Madewell and my first time wearing a curvy pair of jeans ever. I definitely could have sized down to a 27, but I bought a 28 since that is my usual size. For reference, I am 5'8 and hold most of my weight in my thighs/hips. I ended up enjoying the roomier feel, especially since it's a sturdier denim. I hate jeggings. If I want to wear thin fabric, I'll just wear leggings. These jeans feel like jeans and are so nice. The black is unique too!

I had sworn off jeans for years because it was so hard to find a pair that fit both my relatively narrow waist and thicker thighs. This is my first pair of Madewell curvy jeans, and I ordered these jeans in a 31 rather than my normal 32 after reading reviews. I literally gasped when I tried them on - the fit was PERFECT! The waist is comfortable and doesn't gap, and I've got the extra room in the hips and thighs I need. The petite length is also great, with the pant legs hitting just above my ankles. They have a bit of stretch and are comfy enough to wear all day, but still keep their shape after several wears. These jeans have gotten me back on the denim train - I can't wait to stock up on more curvy jeans! Thank you Madewell!
