The Cory Flat (Women)

I typically love Madewell shoes but these flats are just not great. I’m between a 7.5 & 8 and I got the 7.5 (as recommended). The length is fine but there are large gaps between the sides of the shoe and my foot. They look like ill-fitting leather slippers. They may work better for someone with a wider foot. I’m sad these didn’t work for me because the leather is super soft and they were comfortable when I tried them on. The southwestern clay color is a pretty red-orange. Unfortunately the fit made them look sloppy.

This is a cute shoe, however the pair I ordered was too small and my big toe felt squashed in the front so I will be returning. The description says they run large and suggests ordering a size down, but that didn’t quite work for me. I’m usually a 7 and ordered a 6.5. Maybe ordering down works if you don’t have a taller big toe like me. :) They’re a nice, soft, plain flat to add to a wardrobe. Just make sure you get the right size.

I wasn’t sure about this style, or quality of the shoe. But I loved the color (coral) and tried it out. I’m so glad I did, as the leather is easy... so it felt good right from the get-go. The sole is also nice and flexible, although I would imagine that if you walked in these all day your feet would feel fine but might be tired as there’s not much padding. Pro tip: buy insoles online, and I think it will solve that issue!

I was looking for shoes to match a deep orange purse that I bought. Although this was a good-quality pair of flats, they had to be returned. While my foot is medium width--and tending a bit toward being narrow-- these flats are very wide. I walked right out of them! If it helps in description, the length is true to size.
