Great alternative to skinny jeans

If you are looking for a straight leg jeans to replace your skinny jeans, this is it. Like all Madewell clothing, the jeans run large. No surprises here. I usually get long option, but went with a regular for a shorter look. No regrets. Have been wearing couple times a week for a month. Love it.

true to size

Listened to reviews and ordered one size down but it was too small. True to size. Material is uncomfortable and rough. I won’t be buying jeans from Madewell again. Good American jeans are way more comfortable.

runs slightly large and long

I typically love madewell jeans and I think I would have loved these had I gone down in size (they usually tell you to go down 1 size) but these weren’t just big in the waist- there was also a lot of excess fabric gathering around the front/zipper area. Leg opening was cute but way too long for me, I would have to alter. True high waist (above belly button for someone with a long torso) which I love! For reference I’m 135 pounds. 5’5. I typically wear a small, size 4 or 27. If you’re similar, I would suggest getting a 26, even if they’re a tad tight, after 1 wear they will be stretched out for good!

perfect mom jean

I am obsessed with these jeans! I don’t have to wear heels (though they look good with heels), it has a high waist and not a lot of stretch but just enough give to make them comfortable. I usually wear a 29 in other jeans like Mother and GA but ordered a 28 based on reviews and they fit perfectly.

Cute jeans but way too big

I wanted to love these jeans. The color, where they sit at the waist, and the fit through the leg are all great. But they run big and stretch so quickly. I ordered a size down based on the reviews and the first wear was fine but by the second time I wore them they stretched out significantly throughout the day. When I washed them I dried them to hopefully shrink them a little bit but all that did was make them shorter. I wish I could still return/exchange for a smaller size because they’re so cute and were expensive.

love Madewell jeans!

I love Madewell jeans. They are always consistent with size, style & quality. I always order a size down in Madewell denim and know they will fit perfect. These were no exception. I love the wash, not too light but not dark - perfect for many different occasions depending on the top/sweater and shoes you style it with. These are in my regular jean rotation. I’m so happy I got these!
