Weird lookin threads and fabric feels funny like cheap denim
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got these for my fiancé and had to return. They ran very large in the waist and were baggy in the ankle despite his 6’3” stature. Sale price was reasonable but the wash / threads were very pronounced and looked stripey almost. Made it look cheap. He tried on several more different fits in store when we went to return but concluded madewell jeans must not be for him. Either the thigh was too tight or the front was too baggy etc.

These are actually dark blue, although they look dark grey on the photo.
I bought these on sale, thought they are dark grey just like on the model, when I received the package I thought there had to be some kind of mistake because the jeans I got are dark blue. Too bad it was a final sale and can’t return them. Madewell guys you should write a description of each wash type, so your customers can see exactly the color they are choosing.

Feel like real jeans! Good color.
The feel of these jeans is slightly stiff like real denim should feel, with just a little hint of stretch for comfort. It’s very hard to find jeans with clean pockets and little or no whiskering. This version is a nice dark blue and very plain which is exactly what I was hoping for.
