Pieced Barrel Jeans

I wanted a pair of jeans that were 100% cotton, no stretch, fairly dark, and a decent oz. weight. While no one could tell me exactly what weight. denim this was, it feels more substantial than other brands that I have. I tried them on in the store and happily fit into a smaller size than usual. The only downside is the button fly. The buttonholes are too small and I really struggled to get them done up and undone. Fortunately I had a seam ripper at home and was able to make them larger—a single-edge razor blade or cuticle scissors would also suffice—and since the fly is covered by a placket, it’s not noticeable.
