madewell Missed

I have every style of Madewell jeans and have been exclusively wearing them since the brand was created. I am usually a 23 and sized up knowing there was no stretch. The cut is amazing and elongates the legs and the wash is perfect for a work Jean, but they made a huge mistake sizing the hips and button fly. These jeans even a size up don’t fit in the hips with inches extra room in the waist for those sizing up. I can’t make sense of the measurements. Too bad. They need to make a dark blue wash with stretch in the pockets for women who have hips and a small waist.

overall good, but button fly

These are comparable to other Madewell jeans I have and fit in line with my experience of the brand. The darker rinse makes for a nicer finish. The main disappointment is that despite the description stating a zip fly these are button fly and that’s a hard no for me.

why is sizing so hard?!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got a different was in size 29, they fit like a dream. Then I ordered the rinse wash in the same size (29) but the tall lenght, and they were huge. I returned them and decided the tall was too long so i ordered a size down (28) in the regular length and they are way too small. So I guess the tall lengths are also a bigger size??? That makes no sense and is so frustrating. But I really like this dark wash and I want them to work, its just that the return shipping is killing me!

Great fit

Elegant Jeans
