Longline Straight Leg Jeans

I fell in love with these jeans the moment I put them on. They were soft, comfortable, and can be dressed up or down. However, after the first wash and following the care instructions, I’m very sad to say the jeans are extremely stiff and uncomfortable. They don’t feel wearable anymore. This also occurred to with another pair I made in the same purchase. Prior to this, all my Madewell jeans have stayed as soft as their initial purchase so I am guessing the quality has changed which is very disappointing.
