Fleet Jacket

I have a jacket similar to this from a fast fashion brand I bought way back and I wanted to make an upgrade. I've been on the fence whether or not I wanted to splurge on this but I am so glad I did. It's such a nice light layer for California weather. The construction and color is absolutely amazing - you can tell it's "made well". This is my first Madewell item and I want to continue to purchase more things. I originally ordered an XS and it fit perfect but didn't allow room for a light/thick sweater so I sized up to a S and I like it better. For reference, I'm 5 feet and 105 pounds.

I am 5,6, and 185 pounds and I purchased the large. It has a nice loose fit to it without being overly baggy. It feels like really good quality, but it is a bit stiff. I’m hoping it breaks in and becomes a jacket I’ll have and wear for a really long time. It’s a great transition jacket for cooler or warmer weather, and it’s light enough to throw another jacket on over it. I waited a while to buy this and I’m glad I did!

Being pale all my life and with light brown hair, my coloring is probably what you'd call 'mousy' but olive drab, army green, olive--whatever it's called--has always been one of the few colors that I believe flatters me. My 23 year-old daughter purchased this jacket and I loved it on her so, after asking her permission (and hoping she would not be creeped out thinking her antique mother wants to be her twin) I ordered one for myself. It is comfortable and looks nice with jeans and I'm sure other colored bottoms as well. It is a nice weight for cool, Pennsylvania Spring days/nights.
