Great concept but didn't work
I really liked the concept of the shirt, but the sizing wasn't quite right (5'4", XS, ~120 lbs) - when I tightened the shirt it fit very bulkily and didn't drape well because of how the elastic bunched. An XXS would have been too small in the shoulders. Will be returning.

Fresh look
Crisp white poplin cool and comfortable for the summer. Fit is good. Love the short sleeves. The elastic makes the shirt pop up and requires pulling down. That’s the only drawback.

Summer essential
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the idea of this top, a classic button up but elevated with the tie at the bottom. For my shape it just wasn’t super flattering. I’m super short and a small torso so just made it look boxy. Still kept it and just tuck it in but would be so cute on anyone tall. Like all of madewell clothes it’s great quality.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Autumn gold is a beautiful warm-toned yellow. I frequently buy L in Madewell tops and found this to be slightly oversized. I would recommend purchasing your regular size if you want a fit similar to the models', but I honestly could have sized down to a M and still had plenty of room.
