Madewell re-engineered their holy grail jean shorts for those with an hourglass shape. Their curvy fit has a narrower waist with a contoured band to prevent gapping, a longer rise (for a rounder booty) and a little extra room at the hips and thighs.

BEST SHORTS EVER!
I ALWAYS hate wearing shorts but these are amazing! I am much wider in my hips than my waist and these don’t gap or dig into my thighs! I would give them 10 stars if I could! Make in more washes please!

Great color weird fit.
The color is great but I am really sad the fit is too loose.
The waist is too loose and the fit in the thighs is too wide. The shorts keep rising up when I walk and it’s just an uncomfortable fit. I was looking forward to loving my first curvy shorts as much as I love my curvy jeans.

Final sale
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got these because they were cheap and I do think I will wear them with the bottoms unrolled though if they were not final sale I would have returned them. The fold at the bottom is not stitched so this was easy to do. They fit well, but are short especially with my larger thighs that make then bunch up under my butt when I walk, or sit, or move….

Snatched!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These shorts are amazing! I have a muscular legs and a small waist and these fit both! The wash is definitely more of a charcoal than a black but I don't mind. They are the perfect summer short.
