Central Blouse

This top is going to be perfect for the hot, humid summer in my area. It passes both the fabric test (thick enough that nipples don't show through bra and shirt) and the button test (no gaping between buttons over the bust). I like both the weight of the fabric and the width for breath-ability. The only thing odd about it is the cuffed sleeve. Due to the stiffness of the fabric, which may relax with washing, they make you look wider. And they made me feel like an extra in Grease or the Outsiders, like I might have a pack of cigarettes rolled up in them. I'm planning to turn them under so the top looks sleeveless.

I was really excited to try this shirt, but it was way too large. I was looking for something oversize, but this went past that point to being comically too big. I would have tried a smaller size if available. I would say runs larger than normal Madewell sizing. I generally have luck with their XXS, but not this time. The shirt itself seemed to be of good quality, and would make a nice drape and oversized white shirt.
