Super cute and comfortable. True to size. I am 5'5" and on the curvier side and a size 30 fits well. Stretch a bit but I would be hesitant to go a size down, though I might try in the future if I happen to be at the mall. Note they are not skin tight but also not loose. Length is good.
Just purchased another pair in a different color.

Too big!
I ordered my normal size 27 (should have read the note about these jeans running large). They were way too big to keep. They are high waisted and very stretchy, so that only accentuated the large size. They are also a faded gray and nothing like the color the picture shows. Bummer!

Black?
These could have been better as a true black, the look more acid wash black, the distress was great, and as always madewell fits like a gem, but not my shade preference.

Color not what i was expecting
I was expecting these to be black, but they are more of a charcoal gray color. They are TTS.

so awesome I bought 2
These are so great I bought 2 pairs. They do stretch so go down a size. They are not black! They are a very dark gray/black wash almost. I have washed them many times and they still hold their shape and stretchiness.

so comfortable!!
These jeans are crazy comfortable! I’m 5’10 & 145lbs and these fit like a dream. Finally a pair of jeans that are actually ankle length and not mid calf!! One thing i noticed is the ankle isn’t frayed when they come, i think that’s something that’s just supposed to happen over time.
