Mademoiselle Bustier Stretch Satin Midi Dress

I read sooooo many reviews about this before ordering so I’m going to give details to help others. I am 5’3 26.5” waist 32d/34c and I ordered a small. It was perfect in the waist, has a bit of stretch and the bust was great but I will add a stick on bra for extra oomph. This dress is heavy, and reminds me of dresses you see in museums of Parisian woman of the past it’s just stunning and you’ll feel like a princess!

OMG!!! This dress is STUNNING! The fit, the attention to detail! Wow!! I feel like a true lady in this! As a background, I am usually a size Zero. But I am 8 months postpartum and my body is definitely different now. My boobs is a size 34F (without milk) and my stomach is definitely larger (27 inches). This dress is true to size. I know this for a fact because I measured myself given I have a new body now. I almost didn’t purchase because I knew I needed a large size than my usual size 0/xs. But I was tired of looking like an ugly mom in sweats. This dress did not disappoint! I knew I wanted something from House of CB. I actually went to their website but all their larger cup sizes were sold out. So when I saw this online, I did not hesitate! I also like that it’s from Nordstrom so if I needed to return I could always go to the store. I will NOT return! It is stunning!! It makes me feel so beautiful being a new mom!!! I’m so happy with my purchase. I’m definitely going to get that haircut that I’ve been postponing until I feel like myself. Buy the dress! Get that haircut. You deserve it!!

I was so nervous buying this dress because I wasn’t sure if I’d fit into the size I got! I was so happy when the dress zipped right up! I felt like a beautiful princess for my 21st wedding anniversary! The pink was the perfect color and the same pink I had for my bridesmaids dresses all those years ago! There was a little stretch on each side with the mesh so that was perfect! I probably could have fit the Large(A/C cup) but my tummy might have been super squished! I got so many compliments when I wore this and didn’t want to take it off. It is heavy but it felt like amazing quality. I’m 5’2” and couldn’t believe it fit me so nicely! I will definitely be ordering more of these dresses!

I felt like a princess after I had all my hair+makeup done and I’d say this dress is absolutely worth the price. It was the perfect valentine’s day dress that was semi formal but still not over the top. I didn’t get great pictures because the weather was awful, so please excuse the messy room in the pictures I have :’) I was struggling to figure out my size because I was in between sizes. I figured I’d share my exact measurements so that I can maybe help someone else. They state on their website that their measurements are true to size, but we all know they run a bit small. I’m around 5’3 and it sat a bit above my ankles, maybe 2-3 inches or so. I either wear a 34C (victoria’s secret) or a 34D (aerie) depending on the brand and my bust measures in at around 36 inches on average. So it was hard to choose between the A/C and D/E cups because “technically” A/C should fit me. Cup sizing also can vary between everyone because a 30DD and a 36D are no where near each other, so this wasn’t helpful either. I ended up getting two dresses to try on, a small D/E cup and a medium A/C cup to compare. I noticed other girls in reviews with A/C had a smaller chest than me and the cupping fit justtt right for them. My goal was to not have any spillage on my arms or chest. It just wasn’t my style. I also have a 27.5 inch waist but it varies depending on water intake and if I’m bloated etc. Sometimes I can go up to 29 inches, so again, it was also hard choosing between the small and medium. When I tried both on I noticed the small D/E cup fit me a bit better. I felt snatched and the chest part felt comfortable with no spillage anywhere. It definitely could’ve fit someone with a slightly fuller chest but definitely not an E+ cup without noticeable spillage. The waist part was quite tight, but it wasn’t unbearable, and if anything I just felt #skinny in it. I also tried on the medium A/C to compare. The cup part sat a bit weirdly on me and I noticed a bit of odd gaping at the top that I didn’t like. It was like the cup didn’t have enough space at the bottom and squished my boobs down in an odd way and when I lifted them, it just looked off. The waist part was also still pretty tight, which I thought was weird since it was a bigger size. For reference, when I tried these on I was at about a 28.5 inches waist because of bloating + food. The other areas minus the actual waist also didn’t feel tight enough to make me feel confident. I could notice some spots that were a bit looser and it didn’t look flattering on me. I opted to keep the small even if the waist was definitely on the tighter end. Everything else fit very nicely and it wasn’t impossible to zip up either. I needed help from my boyfriend for the small, but the medium I could zip on my own. There’s a bit of stretch on the sides from the mesh on the sides so that made a difference as well. I hope this review can help some other girls out!! :)
