Freya Foil Shield Water-Repellent Hooded Down Jacket

I like this coat. It has a nice fluffy down fill that keeps it nice and light, while keeping you nice and warm. The only thing I have to gripe about is I wish Mackage would have made this design like 2" longer b/c 1. usually if its cold enough for me to warrant a coat this fluffy, I need a little more full butt coverage for warmth, and 2. I think a little more length would have balance out the look of the large collar/hood. Otherwise, it's a fantastic coat. If it was 1-2 inches longer, I wouldn't be contemplating whether to keep it or not.

I nearly bought this last year, and then regretted not having done so. When I checked it out this year I discovered that the silver lining was replaced by the black lining. I started looking for one with the silver lining and along the way learned that the silver fabric deteriorated over time. So I guess I dodged a bullet -- and also learned that Mackage will replace a Freya if the silver lining has deteriorated, but only if you purchase through an authorized retailer. So that's important. I finally decided to purchase the current version, and like it very much. It is light, warm, true to size, more stylish than many puffers without being too attention seeking. Puffy but not too puffy. All's well that ends well.
