M·A·C 'Viva Glam Nicki' Lipstick

I love this lipstick to pieces! I love that it's a yellow-based pink so basically it's on the warmer side and looks so amazing on my Asian yellow undertone skin! I took a star off, however, because I wish it was a little more moisturizing. If your lips are chapped, this lipstick begins to lie in the cracks of your lips. But otherwise, applied on smooth lips or with chapstick as a base, this lipstick is gorgeous! Definitely recommend to all Asians :) Especially since the entire proceeds go to a good cause!

The color of this lipstick is too light for me to wear it by itself. It looks better in the case than when you put it on. I find that I have to wear it over a dark lipstick to lighten it up for a change of pace. It looks ghostly with my skin tone. Maybe it would be better for darker complexions.

I love my new Viva Glam Nicki lip color! Definitely need to wear a lip balm, chapstick or lip conditioner underneath-- its a little dry. Appropriately so, its a pretty obnoxious color, pretty being the key word ;) It is a neon-esque pink with a sort of peachy undertone. I suggest a lip liner with it so your lips are really defined! VERY versatile-- great for day and night, and seemingly amazing on all skin tones. If it the color is one you look at and say "how pretty" or "I wish I could pull that off," ladies, and select gentlemen, do not knock it before you try it! Go try it on and walk around a bit. Let it soak it. I tried this color on months ago (pretty sure before summer time) and let it go-- wasn't sure it was for me. I decided to peek online to see if it was still around and, sure enough, Viva Glam Nicki was still available! It's all I could think about this past week, so I finally purchased it last night! Perk to this product: Not a long-wear in that, yes, it comes off, as most lipsticks do, but it nearly doubles as a lip stain. I removed the majority of it last night, and when I woke up, my lips were looking quite enticing/ inviting/ kissable/ alluring/ flirtatious :) ultimately, a long-wear product!

I love this color, it is not as bright on and is great for a pop of color. However, it is really really drying. I have a million MAC lipsticks of varying formulas, but this one looks dry and chalky on and even if I use a lip scrub and a moisturizer prior to wearing it, it still looks old and gross in a short time. I'm hoping to find the right combination with a super slick gloss to counter this.

This lipstick has chalky consistency and is less moisturizing than other MAC lipsticks I've purchased. The color itself is peachy and pretty. When I do wear 'Viva Glam Nicki', I apply moisturizer first or use another more moisturizing lipstick underneath.
