What it does: This liquid foundation makeup delivers stay-true color that lasts for 24 hours, contains broad-spectrum SPF 15 protection and controls oil and shine for up to six hours. It applies, builds and blends easily and evenly while controlling shine with its noncaking, breathable formula. Comfortable and extremely long-wearing, it helps minimize the appearance of pores and blemishes to give skin a smoother and more even finish. Resistant to sweat and humidity, this oil-free liquid foundation formula provides immediate and long-term moisture that lasts for up to eight hours. It provides all-day hydration that's humidity- and sweat-resistant, reduces the look of pores, won't cake or crease and features SPF 15 for protection from harmful UV rays. It's an innoative, all-day natural makeup foundaiton in an all-inclusive range of shades.
How to use: Always apply liquid foundation to well-moisturized and prepped skin, using the 130S Brush (sold separately) for a studio-ready complexion. Apply foundation to the center of the face first (or wherever you want more coverage), then use a brush to blend to the outer regions of your face.
Pro tips: Try mixing the liquid foundation with your favourite moisturizer or oils to create a more sheer, luminous finish. It works well with Foundation Pump (sold separately).

FANTASTIC FOUNDATION!!!!
My daughter works for MAC at Tysons Corner Nordstrom in Virginia. Whenever I need to get made up, I go to her. So normally, I used Trish McEvoy’s foundation because it prevented me from breaking out because I have acne prone skin. But this time, my daughter used the MAC NW40 studio fix foundation, and I was pleasantly surprised that not only does it cover my blemishes VERY WELL, but it photographs well, and it looks and feels like I don’t have anything on! It’s fantastic and obviously, I switched!!!! Thank you to my daughter and MAC!

I'm so sad :(
I really hate to say this... but I really did not get along with this foundation. I had been using Clinique until I decided I wanted to trying something different, after using the SFF for about three days, I started to breakout on my chin and my cheeks (I never get breakouts on my cheeks!) I decided to switch back to Clinique and guess what three days later everything was gone!
I will say, I love the coverage of this foundation, I look flawless, but if you are going to get it, I would try to get a sample or something first, because you should really test it with your skin first. I would recommend to a friend because it feels lightweight and it is very moisturizing and give about the best coverage I have ever seen, but you need to see if it will work with your skin before purchasing.

Have used this product for years
I'm 57 and have been using this product for a number of years and really like it. It is moisturizing, it does not clump up on your skin, it gives great coverage, does not make my combination skin break out and is a nice price. I have rosacea and this product works well with my trouble spots and does not add to any skin problems I may have already been experiencing before I started using Studio Fix. I first do a complete skin care regimen by cleansing, using a product called Prosacea on my trouble rosacea spots, then moisturizing. Then I use the liquid Studio Fix, then I use the Studio Fix powder. This combination does not cause any flaking, does not bother the product I use for rosacea, and leaves my skin looking pretty darned good for an old broad.

Studio Fix Foundation
I love this product, it is the best foundation I have ever used. I've been using it for years now and I never buy anything else! I have sensitive, uneven skin so it was hard to find products that would cover and not make me break out. This foundation never irritates me skin even after hours and it always covers all my blemishes while looking very natural at the same time. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for a fabulous foundation.

Great Coverage
As someone who has always struggled with acne, and newly going to college (more stress) I needed something that offered great coverage and a formula that wouldn't cause me more acne. I have tried TONS of products and this was the first one to not be cakey, offer full coverage and not cause further acne. Great price for a higher end makeup. Love this product! Will buy again!

Light to medium coverage that disappears!
I was drawn to this because of its 'shine control' claims. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a great deal of that going on here. The pros: it glides on easily and dries to a matte velvety finish with a light to medium coverage. It's supposed to be buildable up to full coverage but I was unable to achieve that, and I tried various methods of applying including brush, fingers and beauty blender. The cons: there is no pump (although you can purchase one separately) which can result in too much foundation. The bad thing about that being you can't exactly wipe the excess off of your fingers back into the bottle, well...you can but I wouldn't recommend it as you'll probably end up contaminating the product. When already spending this much on a foundation it's worth spend just that little bit more and investing in the pump, as annoying as it is that MAC don't supply one automatically with their foundations. I find Studio Fix oxidizes very quickly and also, it only lasts for 4 hours, 5 hours maximum before starting to crease and turn oily on me. So much for the 'shine control'! I'm able to remedy this to a certain extent by using a primer first, which gives me an extra couple of hours, but can't get it to extend for any longer than that. Part of that is due to the humidity where I live which reeks havoc with everything from my skin to my hair, so I have to factor that in when making any criticism about the lasting power of a foundation...or anything for that matter! I definitely feel that Studio Fix Fluid would be more suited to normal/combination skin types, as I can't see it working well on either dry or very oily, only skin types in between that, and which don't require full coverage. -> My ‘Nordstrom Beauty Top 7 must-have list’ (My 7 favorite beauty products of all time, focusing mainly on my purchases at Nordstrom) <- < 1. Highly recommended!
My sister gave me a sample of this Mac foundation, she raved about how it was the best she ever used.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, right.
Well, low and behold, she is right!!
I'm a Mac girl now too!
This is the best foundation I have ever used.
The sample she got for me was too dark, NW30;
I live way far from any cities with department stores of any kind, so I had to read blog after blog, review after review, then compare foundation I already have.
Then I ventured online and placed my first Mac cosmetic order.
My first try was one shade too dark, NW25, I re-ordered in NW20, absolute perfection.
Love, love, love. My skin looks so beautiful, but natural and it's matte which I have found I prefer over the "moist" look of my former foundation.
I'm 58, Caucasian, medium warm skin tone, with dry, sensitive skin, nice skin, just natural aging, just for your information.
I'm so happy my sweet little Sandy introduced me to this Mac line.
Here I thought it was just a trendy for kids makeup line, NOT!
I've now ordered blush and lip glass and can't wait to go to a Mac counter, wahoo!
