What it is: It's the highlight of your life. Amplify your most striking features with the new liquid highlighter formulated to reflect light and refine the look of skin from every angle.

What it does: The good-for-skin formula feature an innovative blend of 85% hydrating skin-care ingredients, including a moisturizing and plumping blend of glycerin and squalane, along with skin-conditioning coffee seed extract. The formula delivers 24-hours of hydration and 12-hours of radiance for a glass-skin effect that lasts and lasts. All nine flexible, fluid hues are turned on by a brilliant complex blend of radiant pigments and pearlescent particles that strike the balance of lustre, opacity and blurring color. Mix the highlighter into your base, hit the high points of your face or wear alone for an all-over, natural-looking gleam that refines no matter how, where or when you wear it.

How to use: Shake the highlighter well before use. With clean fingertips, apply over face makeup onto the high points of the face with a soft, tapping motion to blend out. Build coverage as desired.

The texture is super lightweight and blends like silk, so it doesn’t just sit on top of your skin—it melts in and gives this almost wet-look radiance. The shade “Glacial” is perfect if you’re into that icy, ethereal glow without looking glittery or overdone. I love tapping it over my cheekbones and a little on the bridge of my nose after a long day—instantly wakes up my whole look. It layers well over foundation or even bare skin, which makes it versatile for no-makeup days and full glam. Honestly, it gives me that “did she just come back from a frosty winter vacay?” kind of vibe

Disappointed

I tried MAC’s new Skinfinish Lightstruck Liquid Highlighter in Space Slippers. I want a highlighter that gives my skin a dramatic and shimmery glow and lasts without me feeling like I have to apply a lot in order to achieve that magical effect. I was excited to try this new product because the shades looked so pretty. Space Slippers shade is like a coral color. Unfortunately, I was quickly turned off by the stick applicator. It looked and felt like a cheap plastic stick or hollow tube without anything at the end. I don’t understand how we are supposed to apply and blend the makeup using the applicator. I was disappointed at how I couldn’t tell I was wearing this highlighter at all. It was not highly pigmented and bold like I expected. Glass Skin Glow

This might be my new favorite highlighter! I usually use powder highlighters but this liquid highlighter is very beautiful! This Skinfinish Lightstruck Liquid Highlighter gives you the best glass skin glow! The shade Lilac Haze has a very light lilac hue but it’s very subtle. Nothing too crazy and I like that there is no glittery look with this product. I only use a tiny dot on each cheek under my foundation and it gives the perfect glass skin effect but you can definitely build up more pigment with more product. I also love the glass bottle and the pump. It feels very luxurious and sturdy. I have received this product for free from MAC Cosmetics for testing and review purposes.

Felt like a Shimmering Goddess

Absolutely. Love it and made me feel beautiful. And the hydration and how long it stays is definitely amazingly crazy. Perfect amount of shimmer. I thought the color was going to be a little too dark for me, but it perfectly blended and complemented my Olive skin tone, just amazing. I absolutely love it.
