MAC Shape + Shade Brow Tint

I purchased the taupe pen after I started losing my eyebrows during chemotherapy. The brush tip is perfect for drawing fine hairs, and the color was great. However, this is definitely not waterproof like it claims. By the afternoon - I only had 1/2 a brow left!! The rest had smudge or faded away. I'm bummed because I wanted to love this, but I can't trust that it will stay on all day.

I nearly threw this eyebrow tint out. Im so happy I stick with it and tried different applications and tools. I’m fair with ash blonde eyebrows and light blue/gray eyes so it doesn’t take much for makeup to make me look scary, harsh or angry. I ordered “fling” which with a conservative application with a light hand I was able to blend in this product with an angled brow brush for brows that don’t budge but also don’t make me look like I shaved them off and inked in brow tattoos. Practice. It’s worth it because the tint grabs to skin underneath my brow hairs filling in the parts that I want while helping to give shape. I go easy at the front of each brow to avoid looking fake although it’s still taking more practice for me to get this right. I still think it’s a keeper. You’ll just have to be patient if you e got lighter brows and complexion. Make sure there’s no moisturizer or makeup between this and your brows for lasting application.

Minus one star for being very bold which makes it kind of hard for me to control the effect but If you like bold then 5 stars. I bought this for penciling in fine individual hairs. It’s very natural looking with a little practice I will likely repurchase. Have been using benefit brow in 2.5. Fling is a good match, little darker but no red which I like. Seems like a lot of blonde brow products have red undertones

Love this! I used to use a brow powder or pencil but found that it wasn’t as natural with my otherwise very natural, subtle makeup routine. This allows me to draw super thin, individual hair strokes that fill in my brows a bit but still look super natural. I took a star off because I honestly don’t use the powder and would prefer more product for the liner to last longer (though I haven’t had a problem with it drying out yet). I have ash brown hair with subtle blonde highlights and spike is a perfect match.

I LOVE this product! The pen is AMAZING. I can quickly and easily make little hairline strokes that give my brows a sleek or bushy look depending on my mood. I've struggled to achieve this effect with so many products, most of which wiped off, were the wrong shade, or had a weird sheen. The color is spot on for an ash blonde with no orange tint. Like other users have said, it's very light at first, but if you flip it upside down for a night it's perfectly pigmented in the morning. The cream, for me, is OK. I don't actually use it much; on the daily, I prefer Anastasia dip brow pomade because I'm drawing an entire eyebrow every morning rather than filing in something sparse, and ABH really stays put, but the cream works to fill in a pinch and is portable. I'm only giving this 4 stars and not 5 because I really, really wanted it to not budge throughout the day, and the first day I wore it, I got a little sweat at my brows and it flaked right off, leaving me with some visible spotting (full disclosure, I have virtually NO eyebrow so I am creating them every single morning with almost no hair). When I attempted to fill the spot with the pen side, it wouldn't stick (the cream side did!). In summer, when the struggle really begins, I'm going to experiment with setting sprays because I want to keep using this product that much!
