MAC Pro Longwear Blush

MAC Pro Longwear Blush in "Whole Lotta Love" has to be one of the most natural-looking blush colors I've ever used. I am a pretty fair-skinned NW20 in MAC makeup, and Whole Lotta Love just gives me a beautiful, slightly flushed look. It has excellent staying power, and blends well. If this tells you anything, I bought 3.....I don't want to run out!

I have searched and searched, tried one product after another, and NONE of them delivered--until now. Pro Longwear Blush DELIVERS and then some! First, the color is vibrant and perfection itself. But it L-A-S-T-S and L-A-S-T-S from morning into the night! I was shocked because it's a powder, and I didn't expect a powder to last even 1/4 of that time, but this product does it! There's even a tinge of it left the next morning! But apply it with a GOOD brush, just tapping it onto the skin at first, and only after you've done that, then brush gently to blend. Don't overdo it, because it WILL last all day. My skin is very, very, very dry and I use moisturizers and a moisturizing mousse foundation, but this powder did not cake on my face at all. It went on smooth as could be, and even looks like a finish in the areas where I taper the color off. I cannot use a finishing face powder, because that dries me out further, but this powder blush has no such effect. You will L-O-V-E this powder blush for its color, its longevity, and the way it finishes the skin.

I wanted to love this blush, MAC products last a really long time. The stay pretty color was beautiful but not quite right. (I have paler skin with freckles and light brown hair). It almost made me look sunburned rather than compliment my complexion. The color payment was great but the finish was way too powdery. It was too obvious I was wearing blush and when I tried to blend, it started getting blotchy. Overall, it could have worked but there too many missing factors for me to keep. I ended up switching to another blush that has a lighter and more natural finish!

Based on another review by someone saying they had fair skin, I ordered the Whole Lotta Love shade of this blush for my fair skin. It is so challenging to find blush for fair skin that's impactful but still reads as subtle. This one is really bright pink and highly pigmented! If that's what you want, it's a good product.
