MAC Flashing Ice Extra Dimension Skinfinish

I was very disappointed with this highlighter. I was hoping the white would give me a nice frosty bright glow but this highlight is soft to the touch but applies dry to the face. It looked ok on my arm swatch but barely visible on the face and shows skin texture. The gold was ok and the pink is not a flattering color at all. I’m very fair skinned but I had to add like 3-4 layers to see anything. In my opinion so not worth the money. I was super bummed.

I can see why this was on sale. That's why I splurged on it. I like MAC lipsticks so I thought this would be good too - I had such high hopes! First, upon opening the palette, I was hit with a rubbery smell. The case smells bad. I don't know if it's the silvery outside material on the lid or the plastic they used around the pans. It made a poor initial impression. I sniffed the product and the odor didn't appear to be coming from that, which is why I still gave it a try. First, you have to scratch and scratch at the pans with your brush to get anything on it. When that failed, I used my finger. The product seems hard and gritty or something. Don't expect a creamy smoothness like a Laura Mercier or Stila highlighter. They LOOK creamy and dreamy, (they photograph great) but in real life, they aren't like that at all - reminded me of gravel. Second, the colors don't show up at all. I was going to cut my losses and use them as eyeshadows but they are invisible. Not worth keeping. Would rather spend the money on something I can see. This might have worked better on a darker complexion; I don't know. I have fair skin, brown eyes and brown hair. Returned the next day.

I use this mainly for the inner corners of my eyes and it’s very pretty. I sightly wet the brush to get it to go on thicker and it works great on my fair skin.

The colors online seemed much richer than the reality. It’s very transparent on my skin. I’ve never thought about returning a make up item. I would like to try with this.

mine came 2 days ago very i tested it just small swatches on my hand didnt wanna use much unti i go out again, all very beautiful, the purple has a bit of gold in it i think, fabulous on my skin tone very shimmery brillant colours, i just have to be carful closing the lid on the purple one it seemed to have a small nik on the very edge, bad lid i think had a some purple fairy dust on the edge idunno if it was just exsess fairy dust because i see no real damage on there {glad to say}so i just put it back on the purple one, im thinking of a spare but not that much, never had one of thease before, i like the firework on the box and the velvet palete, glad i got this firework one ✨

This is my favorite holiday extra dimension palette. All colors in this palette were beautiful. If you are med-dark to dark to deep, the highlighters in this palette will compliment you better than the single highlighter. I can easily be heavy handed with this product because it runs dark and is a great addition to the wonderful holiday palettes I already have. Such a wonderful color selection that can cater to soooo many people. A+
