Powder Eyeshadow

Color: Naked Lunch - Finally my search for the perfect neutral shade is over. It is a very pretty beige that brightens my eyes, can be worn alone for a natural daytime look or as base. I can wear it over the entire eye, lid to brow. It’s slightly shimmery but not overly so. I’m in my late 40’s and have been told to stay away from shimmer, but I find matte shades way too dull. I’m fair skinned but I think this shade would work with a lot of skin tones and a wide age range. Hope it never gets discontinued. Also bought Stila’s kitten which is much more sparkly but pretty in the corner or lid for an added pop for when I’m dressed up. Nordstrom - please, please add a feature to sort reviews for make-up by color. Many reviewers forget to list the color and it’s useless to read a glowing review when you have no idea what color the reviewer is praising.

Well, I feel like a new woman. Went to the store during Anniversary Sale and decided to take the time, sit down and let a MAC artist do my makeup. I usually use the higher end, older ladies line, but found I was looking sooooo boring! Not that I wanted any neon colors, but here's what she did. No more eye liner pencils!! She used Sweet Lust all over the lid with Humid in the lash line as a smudged liner. Beautiful!! Then we tried Jest all over with Deep Truth in the last line. Beautiful again!! Then we tried Yogurt all over and Nocturnelle as the liner. All three combinations were a success, so of course, I bought all three. I have light to medium skin with hazel eyes. All the makeup artists were using that "shadow in the crease" which was only making my eyes look smaller. I'm forever grateful to MAC for making me feel beautiful again! I learned so much on this visit. Oh yeah, keep the lip more nude with Taupe or Touch.

I was disappointed to find out that Talc is the first ingredient. The list of ingredients are not posted on Nordstrom's listing, so I'm writing here in case someone else is interested. Regardless, I'm not really impressed with these eyeshadows. I don't think they last particularly long, even with an eye base/primer.
