Sequin Slit Gown

Bought this dress in emerald green, gold, and baby blue (blue from another retailer). The sequin are gorgeous and sparkle with every turn, but also fall off from the minute you take it off the hanger. Be prepared to leave a trail behind you. The cut of the bustline and back are very flattering, although it is difficult to find a bra or other breast support that works with the back of the gown and the built in cups are really just shapers that offer no support. The cut and overall execution of the gown is why I gave three stars. First off, all three of my gowns were different lengths and none were the stated length in the description. I’m 5’11” and if these gowns where anywhere near 60” they would at least hit the ground when I put them on - instead they hung about two inches off the ground in the front. Second, the gown has no defined waistline and hangs like a loose sack around the waist, lower back, and hips. Also, the slit is awkwardly placed more towards the center of the dress than to the side. And, lastly, the dress is not fully lined. The front lining stops under the breasts. For the price, I expected more, and wish designers and companies would stop inflating their measurements. Give us the real measurements so we know what we’re buying.

I bought this for my sisters prom and it was gorgeous! The dress was very flattering and is exactly like pictures online. Slit was a good length and the v neck cut wasn’t too deep. FYI, runs a bit big. She’s usually a size M (8) and the size 6 was perfect… Highly recommend this dress for a special occasion

A stunningly beautiful example of glitz and glamour at a price that is attainable. This evening gown is fully encrusted with sequins and bugle beads spattered in shades of royal blue, silver and turquoise. The fit is spot on and the sexy factor is enhanced by the mid thigh slit and plunging neckline. Be red carpet ready for any event. Nothing about this evening gown is subtle.

This dress is stunning! I wore it to a wedding & I received a lot of compliments. It’s even prettier in person! There is some stretch to it which was nice, the lining is a thick durable fabric. I’m normally a size 6 in dresses (because of my hips & butt and more of a size 2 on top) the 4 fit me perfect! It was very fitted on my hips but was comfortable. So for me I would say it runs just a tad big due to the heavy (beautifully done) beading and slight stretch to it. I think it’s a very high quality dress. You do need to store it & transport it carefully because the beads will stick to each other a bit if you’re folding it up without plastic over it and a gown bag. Love this dress!

We looked at the Nordstrom prom selection online and decided to order this dress for my daughter's prom to try to save having to go look for one. A huge selling point is Nordstrom customer service and the fact that you can return something if you do not like the fit or color. We ended up having to reorder a smaller size - but everything else about the dress is wonderful. The quality is good, and the look is great. Nordstrom for the win. We saved at least a whole day by not having to go out of town and shop in person.
