What it is: A cleanser to clean and condition brush fibres so that brushes last longer.
What it does: The MAC Brush Cleaner cleans and conditions brush fibers so that brushes will last longer and remove excess makeup and residue while disinfecting and conditioning your brush bristles. The Brush Cleanser is convenient to use and specifically designed to extend the life of high-quality brushes while leaving them smelling fresh and clean. It also helps shorten drying time.
How to use: Apply the cleanser directly to the brush or on a towel. Run the brush along a towel until it no longer distributes any makeup remnants.

Excellent!
My makeup brushes were very gunked up, so I was skeptical that MAC Brush Cleanser would be "quick and easy", but it was! I poured a little into a disposable plastic cup, then swished each brush around in the solution, rinsing under water. The makeup residue immediately dissipated in the solution. The brushes air dried overnight and look like new again! Highly recommend this product.

Brush killer
I feel like this cleanser dried out my brushes instead of conditioning them. I also disliked the scent a lot. I would never clean my brushes with this product ever again.

I poured a little into a disposable plastic cup, then swished each brush around in the solution, rinsing under water. The makeup residue immediately dissipated in the solution. The brushes air dried overnight and look like new again! Highly recommend this product.

If you love your brushes...
Speeds up brush cleansing time. Wonderful for all brushes not just MAC. Whether it is for spot cleaning or a thorough wash this cleanser is WORTH IT! (Don't forget you can use the empty bottle as one of your 6 back to macs!)

It Does Work...Depending on Your Needs
I use this product to "deep-clean" my foundation, concealer, and blush brushes and as a "quick-cleaner" for my other brushes. This product gets my foundation and blush brushes about 80%-90% clean. To clean my foundation brush, I had to use quite a bit of product and the brush is still not completely clean-meaning there is still visible foundation on the brush. At this rate, I do not believe this product will last very long. At best, this product is great for smaller brushes or for quick cleanings. However, if you are looking for a shampoo or a "deep-cleaning" product, look elsewhere. With that said, compared to the other brush cleaner I own, this one is much better-hands down.

I have used MAC products for the last 15 years. I purchased all of my make-up brushes from MAC over the years and have always cleaned my brushes with the Brush Cleaner. All of my brushes that I have purchased have held up very well. It is an absolute must if you are using the gel eye liner to wash the brush after each application, the cleaner removes all of the excess and gets the brush ready for the next time.

I use this everyday
I put a shot glass upside down on the top of the bottle and I squirt about a teaspoon in the glass each morning to clean my eye makeup brushes and then wipe off on a paper towel. Works great and a little goes a long way!
