Lydia Long Sleeve Lace Overlay Cocktail Minidress

This dress was everything I hoped it would be for my engagement photos. Timeless, classic, and fit just right. However, the dress is sheer beyond the lace and mesh. It has no slip underneath to hide your bits, so account for purchasing some shapewear or garments for that. Otherwise, its perfection. I'm a true size 16 and the 14 fit, so it does run large, but as a bigger girl it made me feel so gorgeously curvy. Highly recommend, flaws and all!

Ordered a size 6 and the fit ended up being too large. The hips of the dress are structured with either thicker stitching or maybe some type of wire in the seam? So it’s like the construction of the dress wanted to add some structure to the hip area but whatever reinforced material was inserted just made the dress balloon out to either side of my body and I couldn’t shape it into a symmetrically shaped bell or anything remotely appealing. Also, my cup size is 34B and the chest on the size 6 was loose and unflattering. Lastly, and most disappointingly, the dress is entirely see through. Nordstrom does not carry slips or Skimz, or any type of base layer to wear with this look, and I wanted to start knocking over displays and breaking glass, I was so frustrated.

This dress is a dream come true and truly worth the money. The quality of this dress is unmatched. It has horse hair all through the bottom to give it structure and the lace is so beautifully put together 10 out of 10 dress. I have a larger chest and the size 14 fit amazing (surprised) and I’m usually somewhere between 14 to 16 dresses. Now the dress is definitely semi sheer but nothing good undergarments/a good bodysuit can’t fix for modesty.
