Luminous Silk Hydrating & Brightening Concealer

Best overall concealer *For the WIN!* this lovely concealer has just the right consistency and formula to smooth/blur imperfections .. it’s not full coverage-but I don’t want full coverage.. when you’re mature, ‘full coverage’ is actually aging on the skin. Instead this imparts a luminosity and soft focus on the skin, which is what I want. Pricey, but it’s a staple in my makeup kit. I just realized I’m more of the shade 4 than 4.5 which is what I was using before. Interestingly, in the GA Power fabric stretch concealer, the shade #3 is better for me.

This GA undereye concealer is the best I have yet to find among many that I have tried. I am 56 and I have genetic dark circles under my eyes, along with puffiness. I have tried so many concealers over the years: Colorscience, Jouer, Iris & Romeo, Becca, Bobbi Brown, Fiera, and Amazing Cosmetics. While more expensive, the GA Luminous Undereye Concealer is by far the best for me. It is creamy, goes on smoothly even over eye cream and does not pill. It covers my dark circles better than any for me (the puffiness is another story) and it blends and absorbs well. I use two small dots with the tip of the applicator and spread the concealer under my eyes with my finger. Of the others I have tried, the Colorscience was the next best, followed by Iris & Romeo and Jouer. Becca and Bobbi Brown were small "pots" of a sticky substance that say they are color correctors/brighteners. I did not find them creamy or enough coverage, but the stickiness was the biggest problem. Both Fiera and Amazing were thick creams, hard to get out of the tube, and difficult to smooth under the delicate eye area. They were both a horrible waste of money. So, I believe I have stopped the search for my 56 year old dark undereye area, and while my 27yr old daughter liked the GA Luminous Undereye Concealer, she seems to prefer Nars, which I have not tried myself as the GA received better reviews when I was doing my research.

Bought this on line for the first time against my better judgment. I actually picked out the right color! Color charts are actually very helpful I picked the person closest to my skin color and compared the hues…found my correct color. My eyes are such a problem area for me that I had completely stopped wearing makeup at all. What a wonderful concept…makeup & concealer in one. I didn’t find it too light weight or too heavy as a concealer. It did hide my dark circles and slightly minimized my puffiness. I also have wrinkles and some bumps around my eyes and most concealers I have tried end up drawing more attention to my troubles. This did not draw any attention to these issues. It really did help blur them. As a foundation, I am going to have to play with it a bit. I do like a very light coverage but have been feeling like I need a little more lately. This is definitely heavier than my old moisturizing tint. I think it is just an adjustment. But definitely love this and the concept. Anything to simplify my process. Products that do double duty are a very happy find.
