Lucilla Belted Shirtdress

This has been such a good investment for me. I have worn it a ton -work, church, graduations…and I get compliments every time that I wear it. Feel super cute in it. And I disagree with the other reviewer bc I am quite petite and 5’1 (I do roll up the sleeve cuff one time and you can still see the print cause it’s double-sided) and it looks longer on me than the model but still great. I’m a 4 and I did size up to a 6.

I am really sad that I will have to return this dress. Unfortunately, it just doesn’t fit properly. I think it is meant for much taller people. I am 5’3” and the sleeves, which you can see are elbow-length on the model, were almost bracelet-length on me. The dress fit through the body but was a strange mixture of too small and too large in the upper body. Buttoning all the way to the collar, the dress was definitely too tight at the fullest part of my bust, while at the same time, there was too much material elsewhere - I think this is because the dress has vertical darts and is meant for someone taller whose full bust is at a different place relative to the dress construction. So, if you’re tall this dress will probably work for you, but I’d avoid it if you’re on the shorter side.
