It seems as though every brand is releasing this type of product. YSL wins the contest for sure. Beautiful shades, formula does exactly what it says and does so all day without drying the lips. This and the new TF are chef’s kiss, YSL just has better shades IMO.

Garbage Product
The description alone is too good to be true, the color is SO far off -it's a beigy something but in no way is there a blur of pink. More like clay. BIGGEST regret purchasing this overpriced wax. Already tossed in the garbage.

Smooth application and satin finish
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Super smooth and easy to apply lipstick with a satin finish. Wasn’t the biggest fan of the color I got on my skin so I added a light pink gloss over it and loved the results. Very cute packaging as well.

Creamy every day lip

Amazing lipstick!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Obsessed with the color of this lipstick! I was worried that it would be too dark, but it looks great in comparison to my olive skin tone. It’s a great everyday or evening look. The color is long lasting and has a nice matte finish. The packaging is also adorable and the lipstick itself has a nice subtle scent.

Smooth and buildable formula

Unremarkable lip product
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There are a number of similar blurring lip products on the market today and I was left unimpressed by this one from YSL.
Positive: the packaging was weighty and appeared to be of good quality. It has a slight pleasant fruity scent that dissipates quickly. The color 6-Naughty Pink was close to the swatch online.
Neutral: wear time was a couple of hours with faint color remaining. Application was simple, no skipping, easy to blot if that’s your preference. The dimethicone gives a slippery feeling to the lips.
Negative: there was no plumping or flattering blur effect as advertised. As you can see if the photos, on my mid-40s lips that have no cosmetic enhancement, lip lines look more pronounced. I noticed no improvement to my lip’s hydration during wear. I tested the product on unprepped lips to see how it would look upon reapplication while out vs. how it would look when I have time to optimize the look with other products. I’m also bothered a great deal that YSL is still not cruelty free, which is unnecessary in 2026.
Overall: I have products that run the gamut from drugstore to luxury and I consider this one a pass. Right now I have two (CF!) drugstore blurring lip products that I reach for regularly (at less than a quarter of the YSL cost) and have yet to find a higher-end one that’s worth it. This lippie has been languishing in makeup storage since I stopped testing it.
