Pick Me Floral Smocked Dress

I thought the dress looked lovely on an IG blogger, but it was disappointing when I received it. My biggest concern was the elastic on the waist which was poorly sewn and looked like it was twisting already on my first try on. I also have a small chest, and the top part seemed snug. I returned it, as there are so many other lovely summer dresses now.

This dress is really flattering on me! I’m 5’6” and 135 lbs. I purchased the small and feel like the chest is a little too snug. I’m ordering the medium to compare. Very feminine and unlike anything in my closet, but in the best way. The blue is brighter than I expected but beautiful!!! Just try it on! I think you’ll be surprised. Erase the “Little House on the Prairie” comments from your mind. It’s all about how it feels and looks on you. My husband loved it and said it really showed off my figure. Order it!

I was trying to figure out why this brand isn’t that expensive. The prices seem really reasonable for how pretty it all is. But after getting this dress and another I see they are able to charge less because the fabric is not that great. It’s okay but not high quality. It probably won’t hold up very long unless I get it dry cleaned only. Very pretty dress overall but average slightly itchy fabric. It’s a very pioneer women look. Tried to upload a photo but Nordstrom says “something wrong on our end. Try again.”

Smocked sundresses are super popular right now, but can be very difficult to find in stores. I was thrilled to find this one in my size! It’s made of a lightweight, flowy fabric and the smocking isn’t too tight. For reference, I’m 5’4 and 116 lbs and the small fit perfectly. Nordstrom, please offer more dresses in this style!
