Longchamp
In 1948, Jean Cassegrain turned his Paris tobacco shop—where he was known to cover his pipes in an exquisite leather—into an accessories business. Named after the famed horse track on the outskirts of Paris, Longchamp is still family owned and operated, creating superbly crafted handbags and luggage lauded for a decidedly understated, always chic look.

Great Item
This bag is amazing! I bought this bag for work. It is the perfect size to fit into one of those square lockers (with the tote straps folded to the sides). I purchased the gray color and it looked lighter online so I was quite happy when I got it in the mail and saw that it was much darker in person. The zipper is great, the brown leather straps, and the flap with the button are a nice touch to the bag. It gives the bag more character. If you need more help on deciding what size works for you, YouTube Longchamp bags. It gives you an idea of what fits best for you and your lifestyle.

Poor quality
I have old Longchamps that are made in France.
All the bags sold today are from China.
I have a few of these bags including luggage.
The last two bags I purchased started fraying in all four corners within the year and the handles came away from the lining inside and they were puckering on the outside.
Because these bags are so light I will continue to purchase but only from Nordstrom in case I have the same quality problems I can return them.
Keep receipts!

Color of Bag Makes a Difference
I have this bag in the Navy and Black in this small size and also the large size. I love them both but use the large size mostly because it is more functional and allows me the option to carry more on the fly. Also, the handle drop is a little longer which actually makes quite a bit of difference when you want to sling it over your shoulder. Both colors are awesome and the interior of the bag matches its exterior. This is not the case with the Coral bag or some of the other bags which have a white colored interior that gets dirty easily and is difficult to clean/keep white. The exterior of the bag has a similar problem. It shows dirt and wear profoundly and begins to look old and cheap pretty fast. I recommend sticking to the bags that are darker color and the color of the interior matches the exterior.

I loved my bag at first, but within only a few months the bottom corners had already torn. You can send it into the company but all they do to repair it is make the bag slightly smaller. I would recommend this bag; but it's probably not worth the money for someone who is working on a budget. Also, make sure you put leather protector on the handles and the clasp.

Too Small for my College Student
It took some research to figure out the choices in the Longchamp Le Pliage line. My daughter in college wanted something more classy than her backpack for carrying notebooks, Ipad or even her laptop in, and also would be presentable for interviews. She loved that it can be folded up also and sees them on campus a lot (which actually made her resist having one). She wanted a shoulder tote, and even though this is called the "Medium", it is the smallest size. The real medium in the Le Pliage line does not have the shoulder strap, just a 4" handle, and is only slightly bigger than the "small" or Medium shoulder tote. When she received this, she found her binder didn't fit in it, her Ipad just barely, and it looks too small on her (5'8") frame. She exchanged for the large tote, only $20 more, which will hold everything she needs it to. So in essence, it depends on what niche you are looking to fill when considering the choices. I hope this was helpful!

Everyday Essential
This bag is incredibly classy! I have it in deep red, and I always get compliments when I go out. The quality is second to none, and the size is perfect for your daily essentials. Teenagers, college kids, and everyday working women need this bag RIGHT NOW! If you don't have one yet, I would definitely recommend you get one :) What I love about this purse is that you can fold it up which makes it easy to store, especially when you are traveling, it does not take up a lot of room at all. Most importantly, it does not break your bank and is definitely worth your money! I wish I had them in all colors!
