Le Pliage Cuir Leather Tote

Received this bag in black yesterday. It is lovely, the picture does not do it justice. The leather is soft, but durable, a large inside zip pocket, 1 smaller pocket that can be used for cell phone, keys, etc. and a pocket for pen/pencil. I use a purse organizer for additional pocket organization and it adds structure. The lining is beautiful, and the bag is large. It is the 1899 style which is the same size as the large long handle nylon Longchamp Le Pliage. It is very comfortable on the shoulder with a nice 9" strap drop. The zipper open/closes very smooth, and I love the silver hardware (all of my other nylon LC bags have gold hardware). It looks very classy, and I am happy I got this at the Anniversary Sale!

I bought this in camel during the Anniversary Sale and couldn't be more pleased. Much like the nylon Le Pliage, this bag lacks structure. However, it is lined with two interior pockets (one zippered), which makes organization much better. The camel was somewhat lighter than pictured when it arrived, but has darkened beautifully with use to the point it looks largely like pictured in the image with the model. My one concern is with the corners: anyone who owns a nylon Le Pliage knows that the corners are prone to fraying. While the leather version won't fray, I've noticed some light discoloration from wear on the corners after continuous use for three weeks. It looks fine in the camel color, but I don't know what the wear looks like in the black or red versions. Other than that, it's a great quality bag with buttery soft leather.

I have this bag in the nylon from last year and I love to travel with it. I love that this one is leather and a little bit dressy and so roomy. It also folds up and snaps like the nylon bags. Straps are rolled and soft and there is enough drop length that you dont struggle to get it on your shoulder. Love!

Just love this bag! I have to admit, I was apprehensive about buying it sight unseen as I like to see and feel my bags as I am very particular. This bag is not only light-weight, but very roomy. As other reviewers indicated, if you like the Longchamp totes and are looking for a leather bag, you will love this! The inside is lined and has a zip pocket (unlike the nylon version). There's also a slot for a phone. The drop is also perfect -- fits over the shoulder even when wearing a coat. Works well for an everyday bag for work - classic and comfortable!
