Long Twill Coat

Love at first sight. When I saw this coat in pink I knew I had to get it. And I’m so glad I did. It definitely runs tts and even a little small. I purchased both a size 8 and 10 and ended up keeping the 10. Could’ve gone up to a 12 but this coat is sold out. I can definitely wear it with a light sweater and can close the coat which is important. The sleeves and a little space as well, not too tight. I’m usually a size medium or and 8/10 for reference. The material is soft and the coat isn’t too thick or bulky. The pink is gorgeous. Not neon just a Barbie pink.

I was excited when I saw this coat. However, when I received it, I was sad to realize how small it runs. It was sold out when I looked to repurchase it. I was lucky that a size up appeared and I ordered it so I can return the one that is too small. I will say the color is lovely and I cannot wait until the new one arrives.

I was honestly shocked at how nice this coat is! First of all, the description says 100% polyester but it's a wool blend (I think it the label said 52% wool, and the rest synthetic materials) so it's not going to pill. It is beautifully fitted to my body. I'm a 6/8 and I'd say in Sam Edelman coats I'm always an 8 which is what I ordered. I felt this fit me perfectly with some room to spare. But I think if you have curves or wide hips then maybe consider sizing up one. I'm 5'6" and 142lb and have narrow hips so I felt that it was true to size. It's long so if you're short this may be too long for you. I love that it's fully lined and feels like a quality coat (so many coat brands are selling cheaply made, unlined, 100% polyester that are way over-priced for what they are...designer ones included!). I've been looking for a navy coat and I think this may be the one. I'm only hesitant because I found a chocolate brown Sam Edelman coat that's also long like this and it also fits perfect and I'm not sure which to keep. Maybe both?! Anyway I think this is a nice coat for the sale price.
