Long Engagement Rumba Linen Blend Skirt

This is a gorgeous, fun skirt, primarily because of the asymmetrical hemline. I purchased the neutral color and really like the overall look. The fabric is definitely prone to wrinkling, however, so it requires ironing or steaming and would not be the easiest piece to travel with. It is unlined but not see-thru. Pay close attention to the fit because the skirt has no zipper or buttons—you simply pull it on, and there is very little stretch. The waistband is finished with a thin, shimmery ribbon detail that is pretty when visible. However, anyone who prefers not to emphasize the stomach area may not feel comfortable tucking in a top to show it. That was the case for me, so I paired the skirt with a longer, fitted top instead. For reference, I am 5'7", weigh 152 pounds, and purchased a medium. It was slightly snug through the hips and rear, so you may want to size up if you are between sizes or prefer a more relaxed fit. The waist stayed put for me but if I had purchased a large it may have sat lower on the waist. Hope this helps!

Skirt is super cute and easy to wear. Love the little slit in the side. Fabric is lightweight and has has a little give at the waist.

I was searching for a cute, A-line, linen-ish skirt for my short frame and I think this one is just right. It fits smoothly through the hips and sways nicely when you walk. It has a soft, half-slip made of stretch knit polyester. I’m 5’3” and tried both the S Petite and XS Petite (found elsewhere) and I was surprised I could pull them both up over my 35” hips since there’s only an elastic waist (my waist is 27.5”). I ended up preferring the S Petite (shown in my Photos) because I could wear it lower-waisted and it is longer than the XS Petite making it almost Maxi length, plus, it covered more of my calf on the short side. It does need some touch-up ironing. For those with a big difference between their waist and hips, choosing the right size might be tricky. The skirt with the coolest look and most ideal A-line cut, in my opinion, was Crescent’s Embroidered contrast stitch Maxi skirt but it doesn’t come in Petite. I’m also kind of considering Desigual’s Graphic Print Straight skirt.

Beautiful cut, easy to wear, goes with everything and a great peace for warm weather. Super flattering on. I did size down, I usually take a medium and ended up keeping the small.

I bought this skirt at another store; I am 5’2”and need petite. The other store only had regular length. I was happy to see a petite in this skirt at Nordstrom. I am very happy with it; no alterations needed. I will wear it to my granddaughter’s baptism.
