Details & care
What it is: A floral eau de parfum that is a romantic painting telling the story of daydreams, a calm river and a summer slumber under a weeping willow.
Fragrance story: It all began when a friend of the founders noticed the combined scent of roses and blackcurrant berries on her hands. The scent was so surprising that the creators wanted to capture all its dimension: the herbaceousness of the blackcurrant leaves, the fruity acidulated accents of their buds and the floral intensity of the rose. It is a nature-filled moment to savor.

i adore this scent for winter, it’s has a moody blackcurrant and rose scent that smells so dark yet fresh to me. i have the parfum version and i find this last much longer on me than the eau de toilette. i am on my second bottle and i highly recommend for something that smells strong but not sickly

Poor longevity
Both the packaging and the bottle design are great, and feel very luxurious. I purchased this fragrance on a whim after reading the online description. Personally I do not like it as I was expecting it to have more rose tones and all I can smell is fresh green leaves. Also the longevity on my skin is not that good and the fragrance disappears after about 30 minutes.

Favourite scent
Diptyque L’Ombre dans l’Eau Eau de Parfum is my favourite scent — deep, nostalgic, and perfect for a rainy day. It smells like pure melancholy, beautifully green and emotional. The only downside for me is that it doesn’t last very long on my skin, but the fragrance itself is truly unique and special.

Elevated, complex, fresh yet warm
I’d finished my bottle of EDT and decided to try the parfum version. The scent is very similar but with more roundness, depth, projection, and significant longevity (all day!), opening with the strong green, slightly tart and bright blackcurrant bush scent on spray, that quickly settles into a lovely vanilla-rose warmth on dry down. One of my favourite autumn fragrances. It smells so natural, and far from
synthetic.
An additional spritz of Diptyque Eau Rose EDT on the neck and pulse points to heighten the warm rose notes or Eau Duelle to emphasise the vanilla - just gorgeous.

Classic and unique
Re purchased this after I forced my Sister to buy it and kept smelling on her! It’so unique, the EDP is much superior to the EDT and for sure last longer so is worth the extra splurge IMHO. It’s such complex scent sharp and rich, with freshness and depth.

The best
This is a classic, feminine and classy fragrance which I haven’t come across anything similar from other brands. I would definitely recommend the EDP over the EDT for longevity as the parfum really lasts and projects well - can also layer with other Diptyque perfumes (I currently layer it with Philosykos or geranium) and create new scents. Love!!!
