Small Puzzle Leather Bag

Beautiful bag, let’s get that out of the way. I bought this in the black satin calfskin. Black on black on black with the gold zipper and the super subtle anagram branding *chefs kiss* ;however, couple thoughts: first of all the packaging. Maybe you don’t really care about packaging, the nice box, the ribbons etc. to me, the packaging is part of the entire presentation. When I received this bag, it was in a cardboard box, no protective stuffing around the bag, the bag was not in the dust bag, but was sealed in a flimsy plastic bag (like what you would receive a pair of socks in). I was SO underwhelmed. For a +$3k bag, I expected so much more. There was absolutely nothing luxurious about this purchase. Again, over $3k. Next: the hardware- specifically, where you would attach the shoulder strap… guys is this… plastic?? On a +$3k bag?? I just couldn’t get on board. So sad! Because I love the look of this bag! Next, the satin calfskin: it’s beautiful, but it already had some wrinkling and signs of wear, right out of the box. Will this scratch easily? Absolutely. But aren’t these bags meant to be used and enjoyed, which means wear and tear? Yes! But not brand new out of the box. At least not to me. I returned this bag. I was SO torn. Nordstrom, honestly, you’re better than this subpar presentation.
