Infant Car Seat Footmuff

I bought this footmuff because it was much more aesthetically pleasing compared to a lot of others on the market but unfortunately the function does not meet standards. It is constantly slipping off the top of my son's car seat. But my main concern is, that when I do get it to stay in place, it seems to force his head forward a bit in a way that I feel puts his airway at risk. I do not feel safe using this with my baby so unfortunately this was a waste of money and I need to find a safer option that fits. We use a Chicco Keyfit 35 infant seat.

To be honest I love the way this looks! I got the all black one. It just looks so timeless and chic and it’s gender neutral for any baby. So if I have another baby in the winter it’ll still look really good! It looks great on my Nuna car seat. Baby doesn't really fit in the car seat with a winter jacket/suit so this works great! I love the magnetic seal and buttons so baby can just kick it off. However I wish the inside was not knitted polyester. That part really sucks. It pills so easily and makes the inside look so cheap which honestly made me want to return it but there is nothing else like this aesthetic on the market! I would recommend the little unicorn change that part of their design. They might just save a little more money and people wouldn’t continue to return this protect if they changed the design of the inside. Maybe make it out of cotton or a smooth blanket polyester maybe like some old LL Cole car seat covers used to have.

I read the reviews. This is meant to fit the Nuna Pipa RX car seat. I really disagree. It does not fit well and it is very fiddly getting the bottom layer over the car seat. It’s also ridiculous trying to get it on with the car seat canopy, you have to pull down the canopy behind the seat before trying to stretch the bottom layer over the car seat. Neither layer is safe to keep on while baby is in the car. So it means you have to go through the whole rigmarole every time you get your baby in and out of the car. That wouldn’t have been an issue if it wasn’t so hard to get on and off. It’s totally impractical when wanting to get in and out of the car fast, particularly in cold or rainy weather. I’m just going to use the top layer as a stand alone blanket to throw on over the car seat and baby at this point. I wish I hadn’t wasted my money on this. Looks nice but not fit for purpose.
