Lit Wooden Forest Advent Calendar

Already wrote a long review, but somehow got lost. Suffice to say, this lit wooden forest advent calendar arrived in outstandedly-packed condition (so much so, I suggest buyers keep the packing to store the piece between seasons). Beautiful piece, almost in the style of Thomas Hart Benton (a family favorite artist)! More than anything, it reminds me of the quiet Pennsylvania pine forest I grew up and played in, and the evening peace only nature can bring. While it's billed as an advent calendar, we're using it as a countdown to the winter solstice. Detail wise, the calendar came with well-written instructions and a box containing the remote (which we're not using) . The 'control panel' and power cord are on the left side (looking at it), and has buttons to power up or down (always on a timer), to only light the scene and not the numerals, and up and down buttons to light only the days you want lit. My only criticism is that the piece is only finished (painting and lights) on one side, and limits its placement to being against a wall and a close outlet on the left side. I would have paid a little more for it to have the other side finished.
