The Best Advent and it's not close
The pictures do not do this justice. We used to have a different advent (a music box type that wound) which broke this year. After a bit of research I landed on this group of advents. While the others are nice this one just had a look in the website. After we got it I am so happy with it. Every single person who has come to our house this season has remarked at how spectacular it looks. My son enjoys lighting the next house each morning. I can't say enough about this. I hope it lasts forever. The timer is great as well as the lighted bottom. If you're looking for a show piece advent this is it. Get it without hesitation.

Could be better
The lights didn’t work. So they still deducted money from my return. Also, the village would be nicer if the doors would open. It’s pretty.

Intricate details and BIG
I was impressed with the Haunted Mansion calendar so I splurged on this, and it was worth it. My 3yo looks forward to lighting the next house every day. The village is HUGE tho - check the dimensions - it's not really a fireplace mantle piece like the pictures. I have it on a coffee table near our tree and it's perfect.
I was skeptical of Balsam Hill at first with everything made in China (almost inevitable these days), but I've now purchased a number of items that have lasted a few years, so well done BH.
