Color misleading

I’m writing specifically about color “Desire”. On Chantecaille’s website it’s defined as “classic red”, which is exactly what I wanted. She released a new red called “Passion” but it’s either on preorder; backorder; sold out or not available. Anyway, I always look at Net-a-Porter for swatches because they are more accurate than the specific websites themselves and extremely helpful if ordering from Nordstrom; Saks; etc that doesn’t even provide swatches or descriptions. They called it a “firey coral” so that worried me. I received it yesterday and it’s definitely not red! The color on the pencil looks rose, but it’s actually a berry color. My two favorite colors for fall from Chantecaille are Iris and Azalea and this is a near identical match to Iris. It’s a beautiful berry color, so I’m keeping it, but I wanted to put this out here in case anyone else thinks this is supposed to be red.

Color: Tone

It's hard to choose a lip pencil (or lipstick) online when all you have to depend on are color swatches. The lip liner - Tone - is shown as having a taupe undertone, which is exactly what I wanted, but when it arrived, it reminded me of the color of red bricks. The undertone is cinnamon/rust-colored. I was looking for a more neutral shade, so i doubt I'll keep this one. Re staying power. I swatched it on my wrist, and the liner does seem to be long-lasting.

Perfect!

I had been looking for a warm pinky nude lip liner that would work well with the Chantecaille Lip Chics I use. The Lip Definer in Nuance fits the bill perfectly. Neither too creamy nor too dry, this lip pencil creates a beautiful base layer of color. I will definitely be repurchasing in additional colors.

my new favorite lip liner

I didn't think I would find another lip pencil that I liked more than the one I currently us, but...this is it. I love the fact that it stays put and it lasts. I bought Nuance and it is a nude/neutral color that one can pretty much use any lip color with it. Definitely my new fav!

Nice pencil

I got Natural, Vibrant and Discreet and am only keeping Vibrant. The other two colors are quite similar and too browny beige for me. The formula itself feels nice and applies easily.
