Newry Ballet Flat

I realized my ballet flats were a bit old and worn, and I wear them all the time so it was clearly time to get new ones. These were recommended by a friend and I'm so glad she did at the right time. I bought them and then quickly took them on a trip - wore them with jeans and a light sweater on the plane, and with all that walking they felt great all day. Then they were perfect for a couple of social outings as well. The square toe adds the elegance and brings them up a notch from others. I like the gathered top, it keeps them secure and I don't slip out. I've got wide feet and they fit wonderfully, and my daughter has extremely narrow feet and they fit her as well. These are ballet flats, so those expecting support should look elsewhere. But for those who love a cute and very comfortable ballet flat feel, they are good and better than most.

I purchased about 6 different similar style ballet flats from Nordstrom online to try out. This was my favorite of the pairs I had to compare. They are made of leather, flattering on the feet, and comfortable to wear. I like the trend towards a ballet design vs previous years round or pointed toe flats.

I found these shoes true to size and very comfortable. I love their simple elegance and they are just what I was looking for in a ballet type flat. It's true they don't offer a lot of support, which may be a consideration for others. But I love the soft leather and the fact that I have to spend zero time breaking them in.

I have never worn ballet flats as shoes (wore them in ballet class only). I’m more of a Birkenstock, Keen, or Ugg kind of girl. However, there is a time and place for everything as the saying goes. I’ve learned a classic ballet flat like this is perfect on a trip where you don’t have much room in your suitcase, it’s too chilly for sandals, and you need a shoe to wear to dinner at a nice resort. These will go with dresses or pants and can dress up or down. That said, these shoes are not made for walking, in my opinion, but again I’m a comfort shoe fan. I have medium width feet with a bunion on one foot and narrow ankles. These kind of flats normally just flop off my feet. Not only do these stay on, but I can even fit my orthotics in them! I’m hoping these last for years as I won’t wear them often, just in those certain situations when my comfort shoes don’t fit the bill. If you’re looking for a simple and classic ballet flat, I recommend giving these a try.

These shoes look great and are comfortable for walking in the house but that's about it. They have zero support and feel like slippers. I was really disappointed.

These are gorgeous on and feel like the most luxurious glove leather. I might just get every color I love them so much. I have a narrow foot.
