Lid Lustre

I am a fan of most of the VB products but I am not a fan of these lid lusters. I did a lot of youtube research to see how the colors looked. Now that I have it, I feel like it was a waste of money. If you are a tan to dark complexion, I don’t believe this is for you. I would try Charlotte Tilbury Eyes to Mesmerize instead. The colors are too translucent and won’t show up on our skin. The colors also just don’t show that much of a difference even between each other. I bought the Tea Rose, Starlight, and Honey. They look like there is a difference on the online photos but there is none for Starlight or Honey. I posted pictures and you cannot tell on camera at all. I took pictures of both and even with the bad camera iphone quality, I don’t think you can see a difference. I can barely tell in person that Honey is a bit more brown. The Honey is on the right and Starlight is on the left of the photos with all three containers. The Tea Rose you can barely see any pink on me. It is more of a hint of pink and looks more like sparkles from afar which I could wear with anything. I bought this specifically for a peachy/pink look but it’ll be used more for nude. For application, you need to use your finger to really get the pigment. I had a hard time using the VB brush to apply. It was too light so I just used my ring finger and it showed up way more. Definitely would not purchase again. I’ll try other colors with Charlotte Tilbury.

The very very best one and done creme/powder eyeshadow. Yes these impart a lustrous finish on the eyes without creasing or emphasizing lines. The finish is NOT disco or juvenile, it is a refined sheen that is reflective. I have the hourglass scattered light eyeshadows too and there is no comparison in formulation or finish. If you can, try and get the ONYX, it’s always sold out. It’s like a painted galaxy on your lids! For subtle elegance these are fabulous applied as eyeliners too!

I have several Lid Lustres ranging mostly from the bronze-hues to champagne. I know I love a product when I actually get closet to finishing it and look again to the brand for a replacement. That’s when I know I have landed on a fabulous product that truly works for me. These eye shadows are SO VERSATILE; they’re incredibly easy to apply, you can layer (build for a stronger, more dramatic eye), and they wear beautifully morning to night without fading or migrating to where you didn’t apply.

I am so sad to say that I could not use this at all! I loved the color and tried so many times, but no matter what I used to apply, it ALWAYS ended up below my eye, on my face. The first time I used it, it completely ruined my makeup. I love her eyeliners, but unfortunately these are a miss for me!

I really like this shadow. The color gives dimension and depth. I only have to apply one color and eyeliner and the look is complete. And it goes on great with just my finger.

It is sparkly but color doesn't show like I thought it would, it's like it needs other eyeshadow under it to have any color. I also don't like that using it gets glitter all over my face that won't come off.
