Elegance. Exactly What I Wanted.
This isn't Byredo or Danessa Myricks. Those are great brands that make highly pigmented eyeshadows. This is Chanel. It is an atelier brand that is over 100 years old. As such, it sells buildable eye shadows that provide an elegant finish. They do fun things sometimes, like those oversized eye palettes they did for holiday, but their quads always speak softly, and Denim Dream is no exception. In fact with this launch and Nuit Astrale, their holiday quad, they've made the only blue eye shadow I have ever been willing to wear. Denim Dream is a watercolor pastel palette. I wore it today with the Bleu Twill eyeliner and it would have been perfect anywhere, including for an executive in a Boardroom. It is soft and that Navy sheers out or can be used as liner. The Pink reads light mauve as an all over lid color and is very pretty with that soft blue layered on top. Nobody commented on my eye shadow today, but two men told me I looked fantastic. The "fantastic" is what I'm looking for. Money well spent. And a palette I can get a lot of use from.

Not worth the hype :(
The palette offers zero pigmentation, no buildable color, and almost no shimmer or shine. It’s essentially like putting a blue highlighter on your lids :( Not a fan of this collection and returned mine the next day.

Packaging is so cute but there is little to no color pay off. The three lighter colors are zero color and only the faintest of shimmer. Sad.

Perfect for Spring
These are beautiful colors for Spring! I bought the Denim Dream quad. They are very build able like a lot of Chanel quads are. I’m very pale and enjoy the lighter look for Spring. Really like the subtle shimmer.

Gorgeous with varying depth of colors
The colors are very complimentary and you can use them in different ways. For me, it’s a neutral look without the blue or a blue look. You can apply a light wash or really deepen the colors. I first thought the taupe color was brown but it goes on more like grayish taupe. I find the colors go on more noticeably when applied with a finger. I’m going to try the sponge applicator too but I don’t think anything will beat a finger swipe. It’s either the warmth of the finger or a little bit of oil that comes from the skin naturally
