14+ Scuderia Ferrari HP Lewis Hamilton Helmet - 43022

One of the worst Lego builds I have ever seen in my entire life, all the set did was fall apart. It was not sturdy at all. I have not completed this set and will never compete this set. Waste of multiple hours just for everything to fall apart. Do not buy this set

I believe all helmets at the same and it’s disappointing to think that within the helmet there wasn’t engineering to pose the helmet up down or side to side in the stand. The visor was not engineered to open. The price feels over price but I appreciate the printed panels and mini figure.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It was a wonderful gift for my son. It is his favorite race car. He said he really enjoyed assembling it even though it took a lot of time and has added it to his collection.

To be fair this piece of kit is not for someone lacking skills in building what was a quite difficult project. But, providing the build experience is not rushed, and the instructions are followed in a relaxed way, the end result is worth the effort. Granted, there were occasions when adding a piece led to another falling loose, but it is not too difficult to workaround this issue with a bit of patience. Compared to my three recent 'major' builds, the larger of the McLaren F1 cars, Concorde, and the exceptional Endurance ship, putting in place the last few bricks for this helmet, was an enjoyable experience, and where it now has pride of place on a bookcase in my lounge. I can appreciate why builders have put negative reviews on this kit, for the reasons as stated above, but do not let this put a prospective buyer off. Perseverance pays off and the final build does look rather impressive.

This is the perfect build for all age groups, and it is very fun to build with friends and family.

I bought this set as a Hamilton/F1 fan to add to my growing collection. The overall build is cool, and a nice size; but this has been the most frustrating build - things keep popping off or falling apart, and some bits just don't sit correctly. The whole left side looks like it will fall apart if knocked by a breath of air.
