Leather Moto Jacket

I’ve tried 10-15 faux and real leather moto jackets this fall and nothing has fit me right. I’ve finally had some luck with this Lucky Brand jacket. The leather is soft and supple. The buttons, instead of being very bling-y, are understated. The epaulettes fit nicely into the jacket instead of standing up off the jacket and giving the wearer a beefy, boxy look. The waist of the jacket his me at the top of my hips, so it works fine with my high-waisted jeans. The sleeves are a little too long, but since they have zippers, shortening them is not an option (I had a tailor do it once for me on a wool jacket and it pretty much trashed the jacket. Can’t imagine what it’d do to leather). The fit on me is NOT oversize and boxy! Hooray! The shoulders hit at my (narrow) shoulders. The waist is a tiny bit tight when I zip up the jacket, but it will probably loosen up as I wear it. The jacket is light, not heavy. Not something you’d wear in the dead of a Northeast winter, but fine for not-too-frigid fall (and spring) days. To me, the jacket looks like a well-preserved vintage piece that will last a long time. Really great jacket for the price point.
