Le Rouge Sheer Velvet Matte Lipstick

I got this in shades 16 and 23. 16 is too warm (brown) toned for me, but 23 is a nice neutral-to-cool-toned pink. It's a bright shade, but the formula is so restrained and understated, it never looks like "too much," even with two swipes. It just perks up my face so well and the wear-time is a decent few hours. This is not a drying formula, although it does appear very powdery and matte. So unique and the case is gorgeously chic. Worth it.

First, 5 stars for this lipstick's packaging and awesum formula. And 5 stars for Nordy's quick and ecologically-responsible shipping practices. I so wish Givenchy would reissue the shade "Nude Fumè" #18. It was such a perfect shade for the many of us who are cool-toned and don't look good in shades that are warm-leaning (i.e., with orange or brown undertones). Since #18 is not available, I got #16 instead. The shade photos aren't very accurate (Givenchy's fault, not Nordstrom's), and unfortunately #16 has too warm a base tone to it and doesn't flatter my complexion. I already tried it so can't return it in good faith, but now I'm stuck with a shade I can't wear. Please bring back #18 Nude Fumè, Givenchy!

This lipstick is Awesome! The suede case is super pretty, something you would expect from these pricey fashion houses. The texture is soft & goes on very smoothly!! The color...No17 is AMAZING!!! Looks great on & lasts for a long time. I've purchased so many so far, I like having 1 in two of my favorite bags, 1 in my vanity & 1 in my cosmetic pouch. AMAZING!!!!
