Ylang 49 Eau de Parfum

It's floral and woodsy. A beautiful and seductive combination that I can't get enough of. I LOVE this perfume. Recently I came across Le Labo perfumes, and I'm hooked. Le Labo perfumes have one of the most beautiful scents I have ever smelled, and I have more than 40 perfumes. Their products don't smell synthetic like most other perfumes do. It smells real, natural, and fantastic. The best perfume line EVER. LONG LASTING.

Gorgeous! Powerful and complicated, but in the most amazing of ways! This notes don’t muddle together and fall flat like so many other fragrances out there. The blend is masterful and complex in a way I haven’t really come across with other fragrances, and I’ve owned A LOT of fragrances. After dry down, you smell the complex range of notes separately and yet together in perfect harmony. It’s extemely difficult to convey what makes this scent so enticing. But it is. Personally, it strikes as the perfect scent for the dynamic female executive archetype; my perfect fit. Do yourself a favor: spray this scent on a sampling card at the Le Labo counter and wait for the dry down, where all of its interest and complexity comes alive!

Was lucky this one was in store when I swung by. Having tried the samples (given by Nordstroms sell rep) I was amazed by the strength and longevity. It's something I would wear if I am out a long day. The first sniff would be a bit strong, but after 15 mins the dry down is so beautiful. Warm, woody and sweet. It has a retro vibe like 80s perfume haha, but it's very beautiful and long lasting. 2 pumps would be enough to impress people around. Love love love!!

Glad I purchased the smaller bottle as the instructions say it only lasts 12 months after the first spray. As someone with a larger fragrance collection, I'd have to ignore all my other scents in order to use up this bottle before it turns. That's disappointing for the price. For the scent itself, I'd give 4.5 stars.. it's a little heady on the opening, but it settles down to a beautiful and unusual base that's feminine while still having some grit. It reminds me a little of Byredo's Gy**y Water, only stronger and actually lasts (GW disappears within minutes on me). I just wish I could buy the larger bottle and use it for a couple years like my other high end fragrances.

I smelled the Ylang perfume on a friend and fell in love with it. For my BD treated myself to a bottle. First spray was way off. Smelled like perfume that has been around for awhile. I tried the next day and the same thing so possibly the bottle was old? Smelled very sharp and wore off and smelled like the old Clinique Happy scent. Oh well. I do know that when its a fresh bottle the scent is beautiful.
