Santal 33 Shower Gel

I’m a big Le Labo fan, so I was very excited to try the body wash. I was extremely disappointed to find that a nearly $60 bottle of body wash barley carried a scent. The scent is wildly faint and just not the standard I was expecting. It also is extremely difficult to lather, it doesn’t work well at all. Sadly I would not recommend or purchase this again.

WOW, its difficult for me to give Santal 33 a low rating, especially when the previous comments are excellent. This body wash for my is such a waste of money, actually i tried three other Le Labo body washes and none smell for me. I always like to gift my boss and his family that are of exquisite taste some candles/body washes, etc. but I don't gift anything unless I have tried, I cannot conceive how this body wash smells on other people and not on me, which every fragrance smells on me, I consider myself a fragrance guru. Anyhow, I purchased the candle and of course that one I cannot try before I gift it, hopefully the Santal candle smells as exquisite as the perfume, but so far the body wash and also the detergent from Le Labo are no where near as good as other brands I have tried which i cannot mention, otherwise they will not post this comment.

Wanted to love this product as Santal 33 has been my go-to. The EDP was a bit too strong for my taste, but I prefer the body lotion’s staying power (they offer it on the Le Labo main site, for reference). I thought I would maximize by layering the shower gel and lotion. However, I tried the shower gel alone and I asked my husband, daughter and mother to see if the scent lingered. My daughter said it was very faint, but nothing that would make her notice. I based my purchase off of reviews and feel I shouldn’t double up on the lather, as it is a smaller sized bottle that would run out very quickly. Will be sadly returning.
