Klondike Slipper

Seems to be a very pair of slippers. My only comment is about sizing- it's more than a little off. I am surprised that most other reviews indicate no issues with size sizing. Come on- this is sold as EEE, its actaul size is E. I realize sizing in the footwear department is just not consistent, with the variations in foot shapes and measurements (length, width, instep height, toe box, etc.) but the two standards, length and width, should NOT be variables. Size length 12 is an indicator of a specific length and should not vary from shoe to shoe or manufacturer to manufacturer. Same for widths, relative to the length. In other words, sizes should follow a specific scale- I've seen these on a scale: 12EEE is 11.5" heal to toe, and 4.5" at the ball of the foot. As a large, quality retailer, Nordstrom should leverage their influence on manufacturers for consistency in this area. I see it as poor quality control, impacting customer satisfaction.

Bought these for my husband after reading the reviews. The slippers fit well and were comfortable to wear but after a few days he developed a blister on top of his second toe from the seam on top of the slipper. Being diabetic that is not a good thing. I would not recommend these slippers because of that, now if they made it with a solid top I would buy them in a heartbeat!! I also like that they are made in the USA!!

The fleece inside of the slipper makes them really warm and comfortable. Unlike most slippers, the heel fits snugly and doesn't flop around when walking. One thing to be aware of is that the sizing is inaccurate. I've always worn a size 9 (or sometimes an 8.5). A size 9M for the Klondike was too small so I had to return it for a 10, which fit just right. Overall, it's a great slipper.

this slipper did not come in 1/2 sizes so i went up from 9.5 to 10. despite the fact that the back end slides off my heel (slightly), there is not much wiggle room for my toes up front. the memory foam calmed down the latter effect somewhat after a couple of weeks but they do still pinch at times. there is an extra-wide (EEE) option but i don't think that would be appropriate for my foot size. i think you need to either have sasquatch or elf-like feet to make these truly work.
